The works include the reconstruction of the separate sewerage system and the road in the Bremtstraat and part of the Tolstraat in Nieuwerkerken (Aalst). Where available space permits, cycle paths are constructed. In street parts with a more limited width, bicycle lanes are provided. A bicycle connection will be created between Tolstraat and Ankerstraat along the railway line. The RWA sewerage will be constructed under this connection towards the future buffer basin. For the sake of Due to locally contaminated soil (remains of an illegal dump), the buffer basin in Ankerstraat, located on the former sports field, cannot currently be constructed. This part will be removed from the current implementation file and will only be updated realized after completion of the remediation works, in a separate file.
