The Adaptation Fund, established by the UNFCCC, finances concrete adaptation projects and programmes in developing countries. Since 2010, it has committed over USD 1 billion to climate change adaptation and resilience, supporting 150 localized projects for vulnerable communities and benefiting more than 38 million people.
