Tender Details

The Netherlands has a treaty obligation to systematically hydrographically survey and nautically map the Dutch maritime area. This task has been under pressure for some time due to various reasons, as a result of which not all areas in the North Sea comply with the requirements desired cartographic standard. In the coming years, new hydrographic ships will be introduced and potentially tasks in the context of the protection of the critical infrastructure in the North Sea will partly be delegated to the hydrographic units and the units are deployed for other military and supporting tasks. Both the introduction of new material and the allocation of additional tasks ensure that there is even less hydrographic capacity available for one of the core tasks of the hydrographic ships, collect data for safe navigation on the NCP. In order to be able to partly catch up on the current backlog and to be more flexible in the coming years in deploying the hydrographic units for other (military) tasks there is a desire to conclude a service agreement with a third party that can take over part of the civil hydrographic tasks.
