The ocean program 2025-2027 The Nordic Ocean Program aims to address the planetary triple crisis, which includes climate change, loss of biodiversity and pollution, and which has serious consequences for the ocean. The program is anchored in Nordisk the Council of Ministers' vision 2030 and emphasizes the importance of sustainable management and conservation of marine environments as part of the goal "A green Nordic region." The Nordic Council of Ministers will, under the Nordic Sea Programme, finance projects with the aim of 1) identifying and develop solutions to reduce pollution and thus protect marine ecosystems, and 2) increase knowledge that can enable a sustainable and ecosystem-based use of sea areas that takes into account both the environment and society's needs. The projects must have policy relevance and communicate results and possible solutions.
