Detailed_Description : This Request for Bids is for the provision of supply chain management services including the distribution of publicly funded Immunization Agents to community pharmacies across Ontario for the Ministry of Health, and associated services (e.g., Quality Assurance (QA), inventory tracking, destruction, etc.).
Scope of Work : The Vendor will provide specialized cold chain warehousing and distribution services for publicly funded Immunization Agents to community pharmacies located across Ontario. This includes associated services, including but not limited to inventory management, QA, and destruction. It is anticipated that there will be approximately 4, 000 pharmacies to receive Immunizing Agents. A list of participating community pharmacies will be provided to the Vendor.The Vendor will provide an order management and inventory tracking system and may be required to utilize a Ministry provided provincial immunization information system (once available). As there is no cost to the community pharmacies for ordering or receiving publicly funded immunization products, there will be no fees payable by the pharmacies to the vendor for receiving the immunization products. Immunization product distribution providers must use either refrigerated trucks or qualified cold chain pack-outs with temperature monitoring devices to maintain cold-chain temperature control per specific requirements of the products.The Vendor is required to have appropriate licensing for the storage, distribution, and transport of immunization products in compliance with Health Canada.
