As a result of By&Havn's establishment of Lynetteholm, BIOFOS' existing emergency overflow from the biological basins and the outlet tower at the Lynetten Wastewater Treatment Plant will be affected, among other things. The contractor must implement diversions of emergency spillways from existing biological ones basins and outlet tower to bypass Lynetteholmen's perimeter (hereafter "the Project"). The aim of BIOFOS with the Project is to ensure that the emergency spillway functions as a passive safe solution. Emergency overflows can occur today due to unpredictable events (Power cut, dampers that stop when closed, broken lines, etc.). Maintaining the function of the emergency spillway is thus essential.
