Description
Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) has a requirement for Three (3) Ammunition Peculiar Equipment (APE) 1405Afterburners- New Build.
The U.S. Army owns and operates hazardous waste incinerators designed to dispose of explosives andammunition items. Incinerators are classified as hazardous waste incinerators under the Maximum AchievableControl Technology (MACT) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The incinerators are subjectto federal and state EPA regulations and are operated under EPA permits, which vary from state to state. In orderto eliminate Volatile Organic Compounds, these hazardous waste incinerators also include thermal oxidizers, or afterburners.
As a part of this project, TEAD is purchasing the design and will retain total ownership rights to the design. Thecontractor shall be responsible for delivery of equipment to TEAD, designed and manufactured in accordance withthe Government Equipment Description.
