Bundaberg Regional Council (Council) is located in the Wide Bay Burnett geographical region of Queensland. The resident population of the total local government area is approximately 100, 000 people. Further details can be obtained from www.bundaberg.qld.gov.au. Bundaberg Reginal Council (BRC) has various wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) servicing the greater Bundaberg area. One of the WWTPs, named Thabeban WWTP, situated at 865 Three Chain Road, Bundaberg, is an activated sludge process with a design capacity of 2.0 ML/day. Through this Invitation to Offer Council-s seeks the replacement of the existing dewatering unit located at Thabeban wastewater treatment plant. The dewatering unit has recently been subject to a series of malfunctions, prompting a substantial course of reactive maintenance to reinstate its operational capacity. Considering these recurring issues, BRC has decided to replace the entire dewatering unit with a new one with the aim of reusing existing ancillary equipment unless it cannot be integrated with the proposed dewatering system.
