***************************** amendment # 1 (february 6, 2019) ****************************

the following questions and answers form part of this invitation to quote.

q1: is there any material grade specifications for these? plane plate or checker plate?

a1 : 11 gauge - the bottoms may be made of checker plate. The canister must be able to support/hold up to 350 lbs for size a, but light enough for 2 people to carry when empty.

q2: are these to have a hinged opening, or removable? and on what face of the box?

a2: lids are to be removable and could be made of lighter gauge if needed

q3: are the fold down handles for carrying the box ? or lifting the lid off or something else?

a3: there should be handles at each end and on the sides. End handles can be on the lid for removing the lid. Side handles are fastened to the bottom for lifting the canister, 2 handles per side.

q4: regarding the stainless lockable latches, are these to be set for a pad lock to be added, or each one locking itself with a key like on a job box or side box on a truck?

a4: the lid needs to be able be latched to the bottom. The lock is applied through the latch. The opening for the locks should be able to accommodate a padlock style and well as heavy cable.

q5: do latches and handles need to be inset inside the dimensions noted, or on the outside and ok to sit farther then the noted dimensions?

a5: they can extend from the container.

q6: regarding "containers must be completely secure", does that mean the foldable handles need to lock in place so they dont move, or is this reference to not being able to pry up a corner of the lid to get in?

a6: they should be totally secure when the locks have been applied - not able to be pried open.

q7: regarding "include removable stretchers", can you provide more information what is require of this note...
