This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of Temporary Cold Body Storage in Saskatoon on an as needed basis, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A). The Saskatchewan Coroners Service (SCS) investigates approximately 3, 000 sudden, unexpected and unnatural deaths annually. This can involve the SCS using morgue spaces in hospitals to store decedents from throughout the province awaiting an autopsy, notification of next of kin or to hold a decedent pending investigation. There are times when the hospital morgue space will be insufficient and additional temporary cold body storage space is needed for those times.
