The objective of this consultancyis to undertake a series of activities that will inform and support the design ofthe Clean Cooking subcomponent for a new investment operation being developedby the World Bank in collaboration with Mexico-s Ministry of Energy (SENER).This consultancy seeks to ensure that the subcomponent is both evidence-basedand aligned with best practices. Furthermore, this new operation willcontribute to Mexico-s objective under the National Program for EfficientBiomass Stoves, reinforcing national efforts toward cleaner and more efficientcooking solutions. The three main activities of thisconsultancy consist of: i) Identifyingtechnical advisory groups responsible for training and capacity buildingactivities. ii) Conductinga cooking technology assessment and a state-level market analysis (includingstates prioritized in SENER-s National Plan). iii) Developingevaluation and monitoring processes based on the Michoacan pilot program, extracting lessons learned, and laying the groundwork for monitoring thenational program.
