Prior Information Notice for Technical Assistance for Increasing Border Surveillance Capacity at Turkeys Eastern Borders Phase I.

Contract description
The objective of the contract is the enhancement of institutional capacity of Department of Border Management and Land Forces Command to contribute to the prevention of illegal migration, human trafficking, cross-border crimes, and smuggling and to ensure further development and implementation of border management and standards in line with EU-s Integrated Border Management (IBM) policies and strategies. With this contract, it is targeted to improve the capacity of border surveillance staff to deal with apprehension of irregular migrants/smugglers at the borders and deliverance of them to the relevant authorities. To this end, training programmes including supporting activities such as local site visits, workshops, gap analysis and need assessment, review of training programme, preparation of training materials to be used in trainings and study visits specified for related staff will be delivered.
