The objective of the technical assistance is to assist with the efficient and effective implementation of the Green Sustainable Industries (GSI) programme in Egypt. The GSI offers concessional loans and grants to public and private companies via participating banks as an incentive to carry out green investments in pollution prevention, industrial decarbonisation, and the development of sustainable industry practices. The objective of GSI is to support Egypt-s transition to a green economy and improve its adaptation to climate change. The selected service provider will support the Project Management Unit (PMU) within the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) with the implementation of GSI project. Tasks will include: Programme management; supporting potential loan and grant recipients with applying for financing/funding from GSI; promotion activities; supporting the EEAA and participating banks with the financial management of loans and with conducting technical, economic, environmental and social due diligence of potential investments. The selected service provider will also support the digitalisation and modernisation of the environmental procedures of the EEAA. Tasks will include developing digital information systems to facilitate planning and management decision making and strengthening online monitoring of air and wastewater emissions
