In 2021, the European Commission launched the Gateway Global Investment Strategy that aimsand social cohesion. During the III UE-Celac Summit, held in July 2023, the leaders of both regions reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen the Birregional Association, recognizing the importance of the Global Gateway investment agenda. The general objective of this action is to contributeto the implementation of sustainable and transformative investments of European interest in Guatemala, within the framework of the Gateway Global Investment Agenda, ensuring its alignment with the strategic priorities of the country and promoting inclusive and sustainable development.
