Technical Assistance to the General Directorate of Bridges and Roads (DGPC) in support of the Road Modernization I & II program (Tunisia) As part of the framework loan for financing the Road Modernization II Project (MRII) concerning the improvement of urban road infrastructure equipment in Tunisia, the General Directorate of Bridges and Roads (DGPC) created a Project Management Unit (PMU) responsible for implementing the MRII Project, mainly, but also two other projects financed by the EIB, now completed. The general objective of the project of which this contract is part is to monitor the implementation of the MRII Project by a team of consultants with experience in the implementation of road projects, this including a continuation of capacity building of the PMU. The main objective of the Technical Assistance mission will be to optimize the services of the PMU within the framework of monitoring the MRII Project, with particular attention to environmental aspects. and social, hygiene, safety and health (HSS) management on construction sites, as well as road safety during the project implementation phase, in accordance with the Bank's environmental and social requirements.
