The objective of this assignment is to assessdistribution network facility in Mongolia to identify status of them, and topropose necessary measures to sustain growth in electricity demand and realizeclean energy transition. It includes (i) assessment of current state ofdistribution network assets in terms of specifications, functions, aging, anddeterioration, (ii) identifying issues for VRE integration, and (iii) ways to improvesupply reliability and reduce losses. The output of the study is to conduct thetechno-economic feasibility of distribution network refurbishment/reinforcement, and identify necessary investments required for improving the power supplyreliability, increasing the network efficiency, and grid readiness for energytransition.
