Request for proposals are invited for Technical Advisors and Services for Regional Geological Survey Program at Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
5.1. Objectives and Scopes

The objectives of the proposal are to invite technical advisors and technical consultants and

services (TC-QC) to management, supervise and monitor the implementation of detailed

geological surveys in the Arabian Shield (Phase-I). Objectives are extend to appointing carry

out the quality control/quality assurance related to the different surveys, which include:

5.1.1. High-resolution airborne geophysical and hyperspectral imaging surveys at space

distance of 400 m and applying various up-to-date geophysical methods,

5.1.2. Geological mapping at scale of 1:50, 000 based on new vision of lithostratigraphic

classification of the Arabian Shield, and

5.1.3. Geochemical surveys for the stream sediments and heavy mineral concentrates at

density of 1 sample/6.25 km2 for the entire Arabian Shield at the Kingdom of Saudi

Arabia.
5.2. Project Agreements

The Implementation Agreement is set out in between the Ministry of Energy, Industry, and

Mineral Resources and the Bidder or Contractor Company (Consultant) and relates to the

support given by the Saudi Arabia Government and its agencies to the project. Its general

features are:

5.3.1. Requirement for Provision of the development security required under the Foreign

Investment Law by the SGS.

5.3.2. Support for the project bidder in obtaining all necessary governmental approvals and

investment incentives.

5.3.3. Protection against expropriation, compulsory acquisition, discriminatory action.

5.3.4. Assistance in site acquisition and transportation of equipment, materials and fuel;

[Provision of guarantees by Government].
