Region: Bay of Plenty Overview: Tauranga City Council invites proposals for an appropriately experienced and highly skilled Contractor to deliver the construction of the new Tauranga Wharewaka, which will be situated at the southern end of the Waterfront Reserve. The building will be approximately 8m wide and 29.2m in length and designed to have a “twisted roof” design. The building is to have timber portal frames as the main structure with vertical cladding, open timber screens and coloursteel roof. The scope of the contract includes, but is not limited to: · An experienced contractor who has both the capability and capacity to engage, if required, in an ECI contract, for inputs on final design and construction methodology. · An experienced contractor who has both the capability and capacity to construct the new Wharewaka Pavilion, which will integrate with the new waterfront identity under the wider Civic Redevelopment programme. · Associated hardscaping around 1m of the building. · Lighting installation - controlled by Pharos. · Associated civil works includes, but is not limited to: - Disconnection of the existing service lines and provision of alternative service connection. - Mill and dispose of the existing asphalt at the southern mooring holder-s carpark as required for constructing the Wharewaka Pavilion. - General excavation & fill to attain design level. · Provide a Traffic Management Plan (TMP). · Provide Health & Safety procedures (SSSP). · Provide a Construction Management Plan (CMP).
