The Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management is seeking a shared, P25-compliant radio communications technology platform (the Network). The Network will provide the below initial User Organisations with public safety mission-critical voice and narrowband data capability, delivered as a Managed Service: Tasmania Police; Tasmania Fire Service; Ambulance Tasmania; State Emergency Service; Sustainable Timber Tasmania; Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment; and the Tasmanian Electricity Supply Industry (TESI), comprising TasNetworks and Hydro Tasmania. This procurement is subject to Tasmanian State Government approvals which may include the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works pursuant to the provisions of the Public Works Committee Act 1914.
