The route subject to the procurement is suitable for mountain biking and hiking in the summer outdoor route. According to the planning material, a route plan for the summer route has been drawn up for the Kantapäävaara area, where the route runs through the Kantapäävaara area utilizing the landforms and is suitable as a moderately demanding outdoor route. The route's user groups are planned hikers and mountain bikers. In addition to the route section previously completed by the customer, the procurement will complete the Kantapäävaara route so that the whole is a guided circular route. The length of the route to be built is about 3.1 kilometers. The route goes around the Kantapäävaara area, partially utilizes existing route bases and connects to a previously implemented route section, forming a unified guided circular route. PROCUREMENT BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES The project is part of the JTF funding Taitaen reiteille investment project, the goal of which is to develop outdoor recreation and cycling conditions in the Sodankylä and Luosto area and to strengthen the tourist attraction of the area.
