The department of veterans affairs (va), office of procurement, acquisition and logistics, technology acquisition center (tac), intends to enter into a firm fixed price contract on the basis of other than full and open competition for contractor services in support of va office of information & technology, veterans health administration innovation program to provide va s genomic laboratories access to the cerner millennium helix software, which will provide required molecular/genomic instrument connectivity to interface with the va genomic lab analyzers, store the data sent by the analyzers, manage and data mine the patient s historical data, as well as receive and process molecular orders and results required by va genomic laboratories. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 u.s.c.3304(a)(1) as implemented by the federal acquisition regulation (far) subpart 6.302-1 entitled, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The estimated date of award for this action is september 14, 2018. The period of performance is 12 months from the date of award, including an optional task to provide additional deployment services for up to three (3) additional laboratories. Commercial acquisition procedures will be used.
