Tender Details

Tenders are invited for The Contract is for the provision of a new large-scale extension to the existing Melvin Sports Complex. The proposed facility will consist of a large 3 badminton size sports hall capable of being separated into two spaces with a proprietary moveable partition, with fixed boxing equipment on one side and a mixed used activity space on the other side. Although the facility will primarily cater for boxing, it is hoped that the activity space will facilitate a range of other sports such as badminton, gymnastics, boccia and bowls. The new facility will also include dedicated changing and sanitary facilities, two new equipment stores, a chair store and plant rooms; as well as additional car parking spaces to service the entire Melvin Sports Complex. Other works will include the installation of a new storm water attenuation system beneath the new car parking area, the erection of new external lighting and the installation of all associated utility services. As well as liaising with the Integrated Consultant Team (ICT) the successful Contractor will also be expected to appoint a BREEAM Advisory Professional to assist the collation of information to the BREEAM Assessor.
