T2025/0098 - Coa Electrification Program
Description :
The City of Adelaide (the CoA) has a long history of climate action and ambitious climate targets for its own operations and its community. This is supported by the City’s Strategic Plan 2024-2028 and Integrated Climate Strategy 2030.
The Integrated Climate Strategy 2030 includes a target to reduce absolute emissions by 75% by 2030 from 2020 levels. With a 100% renewable power purchase agreement in place mitigating all electricity emissions, one of the key priorities is addressing natural gas use by electrifying all buildings.
The buildings targeted for electrification in FY2025/26 are the CoA’s following sites:
1. London Road Depot office and workshop (partial electrification)
2. North Adelaide Community Centre (complete electrification)
3. Victoria Park Grandstand (complete or partial electrification)
4. Bus Station (complete electrification)
The CoA invites quotes from applicants to undertake electrification of these sites including project management, as outlined in detail in this specification document, from sizing through to installation of capital assets.
Further site electrification will be undertaken in subsequent years, subject to budget and asset renewal considerations.
PLEASE NOTE: Council will be closed from the 24th of December until the 5th of January. Any queries will be answered upon our return.
