epfl intends to acquire a complete system of 3d ldv (laser doppler velocimetry-3-dimensional) for its laboratory wind engineering and renewable energy (wire) of the faculty of natural environenent, civil and environmental engineering (enac). This system will be dedicated to the needs of teams in advanced research activities in atmospheric science. Against theseparticular needs and objectives wire laboratory, the 3d ldv system will be used to facilitate the following studies: • the interaction between the atmospheric flow and built structures (wind turbines, the buildings, bridges, etc.) • the flow complex of atmospheric turbulence on the natural terrain (hills, cliffs, etc.)
