II Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion-s (II MSB) mission is to provide and coordinate combat service support, security and administrative services to the Marine Expeditionary Force Command Element (MEF CE) or Marine Expeditionary Brigade Command Element (MEB CE) and MIG HQTRS in order to sustain command and control of MAGTF operations. The Marine Corps Substance Abuse Program (SAP) is designed to maximize operational readiness and personnel health through the prevention, identification, and treatment of substance misuse. At the unit level, the Substance Abuse Control Officer (SACO) is the commander-s primary advisor and executor of this program, principally responsible for prevention training, managing urinalysis and alcohol screening programs, and facilitating treatment referrals.
