In accordace with federal acquisitions regulation (far) 6.302-1, this rfi is for the procurement of certified swaging tool kits. The tool kits are used in the installation of deutchlite fittings, or swage fittings. Nsn: 5180-01-374-8266. The technical parameters for the swaging tool kits are delineated as follows:
1. Description:

the tool kit shall provide a permanent and mechanically solid leak proof connection on high pressure of deutchlite fittings on aircraft hydraulic lines. The tolerance of swaging jaws and different sizes of jaw inserts associated with different size fitting/ tubing shall be precise in size and material to withstand the pressures applied during the swaging process. Hardware and accessories included shall be securely placed in a case.
2. Basic hardware component requirements:

deutchlite fitting sizes (inch) -03, -04, -05, -06, -08, -10, -12, -16, -20, -24.
3. Tubing and operating pressure requirements (psi):

- up to 1500 on al 6061t6;

- up to 5080 on ti 3al-2.5v ;

- up to 5000 on cres 21-6-9, 304 and 321.
4. Accessories: the following list of accessories shall be included in this tool kit:

- chipless cutters according to hardware sizes per para 2;

- inspection gage (1);

- insertion tools according to hardware sizes per para 2;

- marking pins (at least 3);

- manual reciprocating pump(1)
