General technical requirements applicable to all sets and loose instruments
All instruments shall be brand new, unused, current production, free from defects in material and workmanship, and intended for repeated surgical and sterilization use in a tertiary hospital setting.
Instruments shall be manufactured from high-grade surgical stainless steel that is corrosion-resistant and suitable for repeated cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization cycles.
The metallic material of the instruments shall comply with ISO 7153-1 or an equivalent internationally recognized standard for surgical instrument metallic materials.
The bidder shall submit a manufacturer-s certification, declaration of conformity, or equivalent document identifying the stainless-steel grade or equivalent metallic standard used for the offered instruments. A distributor-s certification is not a valid equivalent.
