No treatment is carried out in an assisted living facility. Supportive housing should be geographically close to the responsible municipality because the intervention often takes place in combination with outpatient care and planning/exit to a more independent life is done in relationship to the home municipality. The main purpose of being placed in a training apartment is to train under safe conditions and prepare the individual for an independent life. The investment training apartment can be granted to people with mental disability, neuropsychiatric impairment, social problems, comorbidity and/or addiction problems. People who are granted a training apartment are deemed to be able to live in accommodation with adapted support. Living in training apartment means more independent living than for example, supported housing and HVB. The main purpose of placement in a training apartment is to under safe conditions, as far as possible possible, to be able to live and plan your everyday life yourself and handle the situations that arise.
