Vegetation management assessment and monitoring
the overall objective of the western area power administration (wapa), rocky mountain region s (rmr) integrated vegetation management (ivm) program is to aggressively manage transmission facilities for the exclusion of incompatible vegetation and the recruitment and retention of compatible vegetation with overall enhancement of wildfire survivability. This is typically characterized by activities which establish and maintain stable, diverse plant communities comprised of native species exhibiting non-conflicting mature growth characteristics.
