Tenders are invited for Support for the Modernization of the AFOBAKA Hydroelectric Plant in Suriname
The objective of this consultancy is to support the state-owned Staatsolie Power Company Suriname (SPCS) in defining the best alternative to modernize and optimize the hydroelectric plant that ensures efficient, reliable, and safe operation in the long term.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include:
• Define the best alternative to increase the efficiency of the power plant and provide a preliminary design and technical specifications of the turbines and generators.
• Recommend criteria and parameters to optimize the operation of the reservoir in relation to available credible long term weather forecasting considering the operational planning of the EPAR power system and the expansion plans in generation and transmission.
• Provide recommendations for the plant digitalization, with a focus on data collection and analytics to improve O&M as per industry best practice.
