Published on: 2026-05-29 00:00:00 Deadline date and time for submission of envelopes: 2026-06-26 Subject: CONTEXT OF THE CONSULTATION This consultation is part of the ECO ALP 2050 project: alpine pasture ecosystems – actions, innovations, prospective. He This is an ALCOTRA program, co-financed by the European Union and carried out in a Franco-Italian partnership from 2025 to 2028. In the French and Italian Northern Alps, alpine and subalpine pastures are subject to increasing pressures, linked to ecological and socio-economic dynamics (climate change, abandonment of agriculture, tourist overcrowding, etc.) which threaten habitats of community interest, often associated with the maintenance of pastoral practices. These latter also guarantee essential ecosystem services: biodiversity, hydrological regulation, soil fertility, carbon storage, etc. From this shared observation emerged the need for collective work on the management of high altitude pastures, in particularly in the context of climate change. The ECO ALP 2050 project thus aims to strengthen the sustainable management of alpine ecosystems in a cross-border manner. Its objective is to reconcile the preservation of biodiversity and the maintenance of traditional pastoral practices, while proposing adaptations to climatic changes.
