The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) requires the supply of four (4) readily available or pre-engineered linear motion modules for use in an industrial process application. Each unit shall be capable of supporting and moving a 227 kg (500 lb) load in controlled linear motion. SRC will be responsible for integrating the modules into the larger system, including overall controls integration, final mounting, and attachment of the driven load. Commercially available, off-the-shelf solutions are preferred. Build-to-order assemblies based on standard product platforms are acceptable, provided they are based on proven, pre-engineered components and do not require custom development of the core linear motion system. The respondent shall be responsible for verifying the suitability of the proposed design and ensuring the equipment is adequately sized and engineered for the intended application.
