Supply of intraoperative imaging device and navigation system Through this order, UZ Leuven wishes to purchase an advanced system for intraoperative imaging and a navigation system (image guided surgery system). The new equipment will be used in surgical procedures on the skull and spine by neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, trauma surgeons and maxillofacial surgeons. The system must be capable of high-resolution imaging for both spine and skull operations. The system must allow real-time imaging to support surgeons during complex procedures. Applications include surgery for spinal deformities, degenerative and traumatic spine surgery, skull base surgery, deep brain stimulation (DBS), stereotactic biopsy, etc. With a view to the future, the compatibility / availability of a robotic system for spinal applications, DBS, stereotactic biopsy, … be assessed.
