Description : The UNICEF Kiribati Field Office located in Tarawa implemented solar power system which included four separate solar power systems with battery back-ups with total capacity of 35kW for PV Grid and 5kW for servers. As part of strategy to increase the back-up of the office the next phase is being considered for increased utilization for renewable energy.
A recent exercise was take to ascertain the capacity requirement which recommended for an increase in battery capacity as well as proper alignment of the loads.
