The set of specific components is described below:●One (1) high contrast electro-optical amplitude modulator for the pulse generation. ●One (1) electro-optical amplitude modulator for amplitude modulation.●One (1) electro-optical amplitude modulator for phase modulation.●Two (2) polarization controllers (modulator bias controller) to stabilize the working point of the two amplitude modulators.●Three (3) radio frequency (RF) power amplifiers to amplify the power signal necessary for the modulators. ●One (1) 90º hybrid optical demodulator to extract phase and amplitude from the modulated signal.●Two (2) 1550nm lasers, one to generate the signal and the other for the local oscillator.
