The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder and select a suitable contractor to supply and install solar energy system to two (2) health care facilities in Western Division, Fiji, namely: (1) Bukuya Health Centre, Nadi, Fiji ; and (2) Nanoko Nursing Station Nadi, Fiji.Health Care Facilities (HCF) are the first and last line of defence to the impacts of climate change. They are vulnerable to climate change and other environmental stresses. They can also have a negative impact on the environment and consequently to the health of the people in the community. In Fiji, HCFs lack functioning infrastructure and trained health workforce, and are predisposed to inadequate energy supplies, and water, sanitation and waste management services. Improving these is a priority and is key to building resilience and contribute to environmental sustainability.The Climate Hazard and Vulnerability Assessment (CHVA) conducted in all health facilities in Fiji in 2022 identified 37% as "High Vulnerability", 46% "Medium-High Vulnerability", 10% "Medium Vulnerability", 5% "Low-Medium Vulnerability" and 2% "Low Vulnerability". The CHVA also found 56% "High Vulnerability" health care facilities are exposed to rising sea level and more than 90% are exposed to extreme weather and ageing.The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) provided financial support on Fiji's response to climate change through the Strengthening Health Ad...
