Expression of Interest are invited for Supply and Installation of Patient Tagging Systems for New Block Redevelopment Project. Queen Mary Hospital. Hong Kong West Cluster. Hospital Authority

2.2. The system shall be virtually free from false triggering. (M)
2.3. The system shall safeguard against radio frequency
interference and will not cause any interference to the
medical equipment and pacemakers.

2.4. The elements of the system shall have proven track records
in a Hong Kong hospital environment and shall be verified
free of causing any interference to sensitive hospital
equipment.

2.5. The system shall be approved by the Office of the
Communications Authority (OFCA) unless exempted from
OFCA-s licensing requirement.

3. Door Monitor Equipment
3.1. Sufficient quantity of door monitor Strips should be
provided to prevent wandering for the specified doors at
Wards depends on the way of protection.

3.2. The door monitor strips with sensors should be installed at
either side of the doors or close to the doors depends on the
way of protection

3.3. Each door monitor strip shall be assigned or changed with a
unique code / tag / name to enable the Control Panel to
differentiate the location of the monitor / sensor among all
other door monitoring equipment at other locations.

3.4. The door monitor strips shall be activated a visual and
audible indication when it is triggered by the presence of a
patient wristband with tag within detection area. It shall
also be able detect the tag at low battery status and transmits
the signal to the Control Panel.

3.5. The audio level of the audible alarm should be at least
83dBA. It should be able to switch On / Off.

3.6. Each door monitor strip shall emit light indications when the
alarm is triggered. Up to 6 LEDs shall be equipped on the
strip for alarm notification. Additional one LED for door
lock and one LED for unit status.

3.7. The door monitor strip will provide local alarm, and send
alarm signals to Control Panel.

3.10. The door monitor strip housing, should be ABS (UL-94 HB,

range settings from 1.0 meter to 3.0 meters

Processing (DSP) or equivalent technology which helps to
ensure the performance in high noise environment.

4. Alarm trigger / by-pass / second level security
4.1. The system will keep alarming for at least 10 seconds upon
reset when the tag inside the detection area of the system.

4.2. The system could be temporary allow the tag by-pass or reset
via an authorized operator with the use of reset transmitter
or On/Off key switch close to the desired door.

4.3. Once the Baby Tagging System triggered, second level
security products can be activated depends on Hospital
requirement (external alarm, door lock, etc.)

strip close to the door for turning on and off the system.

6.2. The Baby Tagging System antenna is operating at 920MHz
frequency with power input 100-240VAC (50-60Hz).

connected to Hospital Emergency Power Socket or
equivalent.
