Email: Login to see tender_detailsLogin to see details Tender Details REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS SPECIFICATIONS The Supplier, to the satisfaction of the City, shall furnish all labour, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary to supply and deliver two (2) complete lightweight municipal trench shield systems. The trench shield system shall be suitable for municipal utility construction, watermain repairs, sanitary sewer maintenance, storm drainage works, and related excavation activities. The system shall be designed for handling, installation, and removal using the City's existing rubber-tired backhoe fleet and compact excavation equipment without the requirement for larger dedicated lifting equipment. The trench shield system shall be manufactured from lightweight steel. Conventional heavy-duty trench shields intended primarily for large excavators and deep pipeline construction are not acceptable. The supplied trench shield system shall be engineered, tested, and certified for trench excavation applications in accordance with applicable occupational health and safety requirements. The system shall be capable of safe operation in trench depths of 3.7 metres (12 feet), when installed and utilized in accordance with the manufacturer's tabulated data and engineering specifications. The Supplier shall provide stamped engineering tabulated data demonstrating compliance with the specified depth requirements.
