The Commissioner For Consumer Protection (‘The Commissioner-) Administers The Real Estate And Business Agents Act 1978 (Reba Act) And The Settlement Agents Act 1981 (Sa Act). As Part Of The Commissioner-S Statutory Functions, The Commissioner Has Power To Apply To The State Administrative Tribunal For The Appointment Of A Supervisor.Under Section 88 Of The Reba Act Or Section 69 Of The Sa Act, The Commissioner May, If It Is In The Public Interest To Do So, Cause The Trust Accounts Of An Agent To Be Audited By An Auditor Nominated In Writing By The Commissioner For That Purpose.As Such, The Department Of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation And Safety, Pursuant To The Commissioner-S Statutory Powers, Seeks To Establish A Panel Arrangement Containing Both Forensic Auditors And Supervisors To Be Appointed To Cases On An As Needs Basis. Respondents Must Submit An Offer For Both Roles.
