Information for Tenderer/Consultant: Eligibility of Consultant : The Tenderer shall be a legally constituted firm registered in Bangladesh with valid Trade License, VAT Registration Certificate, TIN and up-to-date Income Tax Clearance Certificate. The Tenderer shall have proven experience in geotechnical investigation and soil testing works of deep foundation (large diameter and depth) for long span bridge and shall possess adequate technical manpower, equipment and laboratory facilities to carry out the assignment as per tender requirements.
Brief Description of assignment : The assignment involves carrying out detailed ground investigation works for the proposed Mongla Bridge project. The scope includes borehole drilling up to 110 m depths (offshore), Standard Penetration Tests (SPT), Cone Penetration Tests (CPT), Seismic Down-Hole Tests (SDHT), collection of soil samples, laboratory testing including physical properties, index properties, engineering properties, geo-chemical tests, and preparation of a geotechnical investigation factual report.
Experience, Resources and delivery capacity required : The Tenderer shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in geotechnical investigation works and shall have successfully completed at least one (1) similar geotechnical investigation assignment mentioned above for a bridge or major riverine / marine infrastructure project within the last five (5) years.
