Description : The objective of the technical assistance is the execution of a feasibility study and preliminary draft study which will inform the beneficiaries (SNCFT and the Ministry of Transport in Tunisia) of the best possible investment solution to construct the West branch (Kairouan-Kasserine) of railway line11 between Sousse and Kasserine, as part of the rehabilitation project for this line, as included in the 2016-2020 five-year development plan.

These studies aim to define the technical specifications and the operational, socio-economic, financial, social and environmental conditions best suited for the restoration of the railway line in order to ensure an efficient rail service on line 11 between Kalâa Sghira (Sousse) and Kasserine for goods and passengers through the construction of a western section between Kairouan and Kasserine.
