The Student Global Payments System (SGPS) project aims to enhance the University of Calgary's student experience through payment processing by implementing an integrated, efficient solution. This project will provide faster, more reliable, and transparent payment and refund options, enhancing thestudent financial experience with a more intuitive and accessible platform. It will also streamline payments, refunds, and reconciliation while reducing manual processing for greater operational efficiency.A secondary priority is the decoupling of payouts for awards, scholarships, bursaries andemergency student funding, enabling greater flexibility and tracking of these distinct student payment streams to ensure timely financial support.The project includes vendor selection, PeopleSoft integration, and compliance with University of Calgary Treasury, financial and regulatory standards. TheUCalgary is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a solution to student payment processing. The intention of the RFP is to award to a Proponent who submits a proposal which, in the sole opinion of UCalgary represents the best overall functionality and value.The detailed Business requirementsand IT requirements are outlined in the Business requirements and IT requirements tabs within the Proponent Response Workbook Schedule C.
