Description
The VAMC West Haven & Newington CT intends to award on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 13. This requirement will include the proprietary Stryker In-Touch/Secure II Beds and Stretchers, located at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System West Haven & Newington Campus. Salient CharacteristicsVA will need to use an authorized vendor for warranty characteristics to properly maintain Stryker In-Touch/Secure II Beds and Stretchers. Stryker employs its own field service technicians (known as ProCare Services) to service its products. Stryker only uses OEM parts for repairs and has exclusive use of certain proprietary tools for diagnostics and repairs. This Special Notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than April 14th 2025, Responses should be sent to Nathan.Langone@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
