Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Structural Maintenance of Perth Tunnels.

The initial post construction maintenance period of 10 years, provided for bored tunnel, station boxes and approach dive structures in the initial construction and maintenance contract ended in September 2017. The PTA is now seeking a maintenance contractor to undertake structural, civil and drainage maintenance of the Perth Bored Tunnels (T1-T4), the underground approach tunnels (T5-T10), Perth Busport, the Perth Underground (Train) Station (PUG) and Elizabeth Quay (EQ) Station Structures. These are situated in Perth CBD of Western Australia.

Scope of Services

The Maintenance Contractor shall be required to undertake the following maintenance tasks:

Routine Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance (major repairs and minor repairs) of the following tunnels:

Perth Bored Tunnels (T1-T4);

Approach Tunnels (T5, T6, T9, T10);

Station Boxes (PUG & EQ); and

Perth Bus port Tunnels (T7, T8).

Corrective Maintenance of other underground Perth Rail Tunnels on an as required basis.

PTA has engaged a durability Consultant to act as an interface between PTA and the Maintenance Contractor. The Consultant will conduct periodic tunnel inspections to monitor the structural condition of the tunnels, provide reports to PTA, and to recommend remedial maintenance procedures where required.
