Description : The CDFW fisheries research vessel, the Hypomesus, is a 30-foot aluminum research vessel. It is outfitted with two hydraulic winches, and a gantry that has a 1, 000-pound maximum load and is used to deploy and retrieve fishing gear. The vessel requires modifications to the back deck for safety and efficiency, without negatively impacting performance or handling. The Contractor will evaluate the vessel¿s proposed deck modifications in conjunction with CDFW¿s towing and performance requirements and provide recommendations for improvements and modifications.
