In recent years, a test designed by the National Board of Medical Examiners has been applied; However, in 2026, at the request of the Rector's Office, it has been decided, within the framework of a new admission model, to develop evaluation contextualized and adapted to the specific needs of Honduran students who aspire to enter postgraduate courses at the UNAH School of Medicine. Historically, college selection tests have been designed to admit students with greater academic merits and abilities, considered indicators of success at the higher level. However, these tests have often excluded considerations of inclusion and equity, resulting in discrimination of disadvantaged populations that face difficulties competing with those who have had better social, cultural and economic opportunities.
