The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of an existing driver entry door and frame, along with an adjacent side door equipped with keypad access for both, at the Kennedy Plaza Passenger Terminal located at 1 Kennedy Plaza, Providence, RI. The total opening measures approximately 21 feet wide by 8 feet 5 inches high.The intent of this project is to install a like-kind replacement system that offers secure, functional keypad access for RIPTA personnel, while ensuring long-term durability, ease of use, and maintaining a clean, protected entry area. The existing ornamental features surrounding the doorway must be carefully removed and reinstalled with the new door system.All door installations must meet current ADA standards to ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
