Description: OMV Petrom has initiated a standardization program aimed at harmonizing the design of its underground and surface installations, including PLC systems, stand-alone PLCs and their components, which can control and protect a variety of automated applications for hydrocarbon production and processing facilities. The purchase of these products is necessary to ensure optimal control of the technological process in the Upstream oil and gas installations.
The programmable logic controller (PLC) will have different configurations, depending on the diversity of controlled or protected processes. In order to achieve the purpose of the process at an installation, the contractor must be able to supply such systems which may be "on-board" or external, including other auxiliary components.
