The Liege University Hospital wishes to acquire the standard caryotypes capture and analysis system marketed by the Scientific caliber firm. In addition to an automated image capture platform (microscope, motorized platinum and very high resolution camera), the main asset of this system is the existence of an artificial intelligence (AI) for the separation of chromosomes and their classification. This AI works thanks to a deep neural networks algorithm: several hypotheses are tested according to this algorithm, these hypotheses are then classified into different categories And a level of confidence is assigned to them to choose the most likely. This AI makes it possible to achieve an impressive saving of manipulation by the technologist for the separation of chromosomes and for their classification.
