That the need or objective of contracting medications for use is based on the fact that these products are essential for the treatment of hospitalized patients and those under outpatient control, thus guaranteeing the continuity and quality of health care in the institution. Having an arsenal of medications available is a fundamental tool to adequately meet medical needs. 4. That, it is necessary to point out that, although some requested medications have a current award by CENABAST or distribution via the Ministerial Program, it is important to have additional alternatives for acquiring these medications to ensure an uninterrupted supply, in case of non-compliance with shipment, additional requirements or future non-current awards, which would make its acquisition through this mechanism impossible.
